Biography of Olivia Leung
Mrs LEUNG WU Kwai-man, Olivia is a veteran artist. She is the Vice-President of the Prima Club. She started painting in 1980s, and specializes in Chinese paintings particularly on animals, flowers and landscape featuring her own creative style. She has held several solo exhibitions and participated in numerous other exhibitions. Her recent solo exhibitions have helped to raise funds to support the charity work of Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong to which she is the current Vice-Chairperson.
Mrs. Leung devotes herself to arts. She believes that arts can cross borders and connect people together, and hence endeavors to promote the vision of "Arts are for Everyone”. Being a volunteer docent of Hong Kong Museum of Art and Asia Society Hong Kong Centre for many years, she is well recognized for her contribution to art education. She holds tutorial classes in Chinese paintings for people from different backgrounds. Her awards include Gold Prize on ‘Global International Arts Contribution’ by Chinese and Japanese Modern Art Dictionary and Outstanding Docent Award from Hong Kong Museum of Art.
Mrs. Leung also handmakes clutchbags with upcycle fabric given by friends for a few year as hobby. Mrs. Leung created a charity sale platform and all proceeds go to Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong.
1983 Became a member of the Prima Club and received a Merit Award for Frogs at
the Club's exhibition at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
1985 Received the Bronze Prize for Monkeys in the Snow at the Prima Club's
exhibition at the HK City Hall.
1987 Received the Silver Prize for Magnolia at the Prima Club's exhibition at the
HK Arts Centre.
1990 Received a Merit Award for Joy of Living in the Mountains at the Tenth
Anniversary Exhibition of the Prima Club at the HK Cultural Centre.
1991 Participated in the Silver Jubilee Art Exhibition of the Federation of Medical
Societies of Hong Kong at the HK City Hall.
1993 Curriculum Vitae in the Dictionary of Current Famous Chinese Calligraphers
and Painters (Henan Art Publishers).
Received the Gold Prize for Nine Auspicious Resemblances at the Prima
Club's exhibition at the HK Cultural Centre.
Participated in an Exhibition of the Works of Eight Artists at the HK Visual Arts
Centre.
Frogs and Grapes featured in the 1994 Calendar of the Works of Famous
Artists.
1994 Became Honorary Secretary of Prima Club
